HI-ENEC has a number of travel-related and cultural education resources to offer local college students in the Boston area. Whether studying abroad, volunteering abroad, or just traveling for pleasure, HI-ENEC can make your journey more memorable, efficient, economical, responsible and informed.
Travel Workshops
Young people need a place to start on their voyage to becoming savvy travelers and respectful global citizens. Hostelling International Travel Workshops are designed to teach the essentials. The workshops offer information about how to prepare for domestic and/or international travel, and they focus on what it means to "journey with an open mind and gentle heart." The workshops go beyond providing basic travel tips in order to educate young people not only about how to travel, but about why to travel in a way that is respectful to different cultures, peoples and norms. Campus Outreach Initiative
HI-ENEC is working on local college campuses to tailor our educational, travel, and cultural exchange resources and programs to the unique needs of each school. Campus Outreach Coordinators located on select campuses organize events and promote opportunities relevant to their peers.
