HI at Sail Boston

On July 9, 2009, HI-Boston teamed up with Sail Boston for a sunset reception aboard the beautiful Barque Europa, a Dutch ship docked at Rowes Wharf.

The sold-out event helped raise funds in support of a new, expanded and environmentally friendly Boston Hostel facility.

The event's illustrious guest list included WHDH-TV news anchor Frances Rivera.

Boston was one of seven official ports in the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge sailing competition. The trans-Atlantic race, tracing nearly 7,000 nautical miles of old trade routes, began in Vigo, Spain in late April and will conclude in Belfast, Northern Ireland in mid-August.
